After the concert he informed my section leader that he would like to have coffee with the violas. At first I didn't really want to go because I am not a music major, just a minor. But! I got my butt out of bed early and thought what the heck, it isn't everyday you meet and get to have coffee with someone famous. There were 4 of us that showed up (out of 7 violas) but he was an amazing person to talk to. He even bought us all coffee. We talked for 2 hours, I even skipped a class because I was so inspired by his teachings and stories(I NEVER skip class NEVER! Thats how amazing Brett is!). Brett is totally a down to earth kind of guy. He is planning on coming back in May and giving each violist a private lesson, well he wants too anyway. One of my favorite things that he said was" You know Robert Frost's poem about the two roads and he took the one less traveled? Well, I just made my own path."
It was a great once in a life time experience that really opened my eyes to see what I really want to do in life, I guess it is time to make my own path
